Don’t be Green with Nausea, Go Green Instead!
As we celebrate Earth Day this April 22, it reminds us all that the things we purchase these days need to be ecologically sound, affordable, functional, and, of course, fashionable. That’s why we are proud that Psi Bands enable nausea sufferers to go green without being green .
We at Psi Bands have taken the following environmentally and socially conscious measures:
Psi Bands use biocompatible materials. They are made from medical grade synthetic rubber and are latex-free.- We use no PVC or BPA in any of our products or packaging.
- Psi Bands themselves are reusable, and our packaging serves as a reusable travel case.
- Our packaging uses all aqueous-based inks and uses the smallest dimensions possible to reduce our carbon footprint.
- Psi Bands gives back! We donate $1 of every Cherry Blossom (the GREEN-colored band) set sold to our charitable partner, Fertile Hope, a national non-profit which provides reproductive information, support and hope to cancer patients and survivors whose medical treatments present the risk of infertility.
Did you know Americans generate nearly 250 million tons of trash each year? Or that it takes an estimated 500-1000 years for plastic grocery bags to decompose? If we all make a few simple changes in our homes, the collective impact of these changes will mean a healthier planet and a happier prospect for our future. Brad Herzog, author of newly published children’s book, S is for Save the Planet — A “How-to-be-Green” Alphabet, offers the following advice on simple things even our kids can do to help do their part:
Turn off lights, computers and TVs when not in use.- Encourage carpooling, biking, walking, etc.
- “Paper or plastic?” How about neither? Bring your own reusable bags to the store.
- Don’t release helium-filled balloons into the sky. They are a danger to ocean animals (and so is other trash, including those 6-pack plastic rings).
- Get the whole family involved in a local clean-up event.
- Buy and eat locally-grown food. Better yet, start a garden at home.
- Go out, experience and appreciate natural beauty. It’s the best way to learn how much we have to lose.
